¨My mates keep telling me to skip class with them. I don´t want to, but I also don´t want to look lame. How do I say no without losing my friends?¨

Kia Ora Jax

I can see that you are struggling to say no to your friends. Are you sure they’re your real friends if they don´t care about your education?. If they don´t then maybe think about your friend choices. I have some suggestions for you to maybe consider. Just politely say no thank you and say you care about your education more than skipping. Stand your ground because they dont own you but say it nicely.

That sucks but you should get over it I’m sorry but it’s time to move on.
I hear ya but it is what it is. I know but we should leave it there.
I get that you’re upset but there’s probably not a lot you can do about it. I understand that you’re upset but you just need to forget about it.

Hacksaw ridge

In English we have been reading a novel called Hacksaw ridge

A positive role model is Desmond Doss. Doss he saved peoples life when everyone left. He doesn’t fight or uses weapons because he respects his religion. He was brave, kind and he didn’t give up even when the other soldiers put him done.

Film study

My 9T English class is currently working on something called film study we had to pick four movies and get the different angles and we had to make two posters. One of the posters had to be an art poster that is this and a normal poster. In my art poster are all the different shots you would need to put in a movie.

Novel study- CUZ

For the past few weeks my class and I have been reading a Novel called Cuz. The book is about how two cousins meet up after a few years and they go on an adventure but then bad things happen. The main characters are Huia and River and sometimes Tau. I don’t have a favourite character but River is really cool because of how protective he is and how much he cares about Huia. In my opinion I think that the story is very outgoing because not only does it tell you about how to do things but you also learn. Something I learnt from the story was that you always have to look out for other people, I really recommend reading the story because you can learn a lot from the story and it also teaches you to care more about each other.
